The Question
Women's Ministry Overview
Mission, Vision, & Goals
Faith Community Church Women’s Ministry exists to equip women to be disciples who plant the church. We will develop Titus 2 relationships through which spiritually older women mentor and disciple spiritually younger women. Coming alongside our brothers in Christ, we will actively participate in advancing the Gospel and in obeying Jesus’ command to “[…] go and make disciples of all nations.” (Mt. 28:19). Under the shepherding of our Elders, we obediently respond to His call to be disciples (learners) and to disciple (teach). Essential to equipping disciples are the Word and the Spirit. We will fulfill this calling together through:
-
Mentoring relationships (Titus 2:3-5)
-
Prayer
-
Study and application of God’s Word
-
Gospel-centered fellowship
-
Living out our faith by serving one another and others.
Disciple Her
Our Women's Ministry exists to equip women to be disciples who make disciples. We develop relationships which spiritually older women mentor and disciple spiritually younger women. We commit to mentoring relationships, prayer, study of God's Word, and sharing life together. If you are interested in being a mentor or if you are seeking a mentor, please email Stephanie at stephanie.langer@homeforever.org. Stay tuned for our next Disciple Her Training Session! We will be offering information and training on what it is to be a disciple, what it means to make disciples and what it means to be a mentor. This session is intended for women who are interested in learning more about DH Groups, connecting with current mentors, or becoming a mentor. Sign-up will be available at the Connection Point or on the Events page.
Women in the Word
Our next study begins Thursday January 11th. We are offering both a morning session from 9-10:30am as well as an evening session from 6-7:30pm. The study will meet every Thursday through March 28th. We are posting verses to memorize each Monday on our Facebook page. For the next few months, the verses will align to the ACTS method of prayer: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Every day is a new day and a great day for memorizing Scripture! Join us on Facebook: FCC Women’s Ministry FB Page.
Ladies Time Out
Ladies of all ages and stages have been meeting once a month at Ladies Time Out where we gather in the cafe and get to know each other over coffee and treats. LTO meets the third Wednesday of every month from 9-11am here at church. Childcare and coffee are provided. We hope you can join us next time! Bring a brunch item to share if you are able.
This is a great event to invite friends and neighbors to, and introduce them to the beauty of relationships centered on Christ.
Want to help? You are always welcome to bring a snack to share, and if you are bringing kiddos, please pack a water bottle to send with them to the childcare room. Nursing mothers are welcome to keep their baby with them.
